Activate your Higher Consciousness through the Merkaba
Through the Power of the Trinity
This article is a guide for your spiritual path, offering insights to help you activate your Merkaba and live from your Higher Self, a place of spiritual sovereignty, recognizing that every action, thought, and emotion contributes to the whole.
The Sacred Trinity
The triangle is one of the basic geometric shapes that sacred geometry is shaped from. In the history of human civilization, throughout the world, the triangle or trinity is highly recognized as a powerful and mystical symbol that represents the concept of unity by the assembly of three, used interchangeably in different fields of science, philosophy, religion and spirituality. It can be depicted as a Venn diagram: overlapping circles to show the logical relationship between the three sets of items.
The triangle also represents the flame that ignites Creation through the combination of three ingredients: oxygen, fuel and heat, symbolizing the trinity’s embodiment of completeness through the combination of three essential elements.
In traditional religions, the trinity represents the achievement of wholeness, wisdom, awakening, and enlightenment, through perfect balance and harmony. This state of completion is also known as Nirvana in Buddhism, Moksha in Hinduism, Kevala Jnana inJainism, just to name a few examples.
In Christianity, the Holy Trinity represents the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, emphasizing the unity and holiness of God.
Celtic traditions embrace the trinity in the form of the triple goddess (Maiden, Mother, and Crone), a cycle of life that parallels Christian symbolism.
In Hinduism, the divine is represented through the trinity of Brahma (Creator), Vishnu (Preserver), and Shiva (Destroyer), each contributing to the cycle of existence.
Buddhism’s trinity manifests through the Three Jewels (Trikaya): the Buddha, the Dharma (teachings), and the Sangha (community).
In modern spirituality, the triangle often symbolizes the alignment of mind, body, and soul — reflecting balance and harmony in oneself and one’s life.
The Sacred Trinity then signifies the connection to a higher state of being through the balance, harmony and coherence of the Mind, Body, and Heart.
The Tetrahedron
Within the Sacred Trinity lies a fourth invisible point in the middle of the triangle: The “Eye that Sees All”, the Third Eye, the “I”, the True Self, the Higher Self. By adding a fourth point, the triangle becomes a three-dimensional shape known as the tetrahedron. The well-known symbol of the Eye within the triangle represents a bird’s-eye view of this tetrahedron.
The Eye symbolizes the charioteer and the gateway for Higher Consciousness, shining light on the three unconscious horses/aspects of yourself. This awareness helps you break old, unconscious patterns and form new ones, creating a reality not confined by the past, but shaped by Presence — by the Here & Now, your Higher Self.
The Merkaba
The Merkaba, also the symbol associated with the Jewish religion, embodies the union between the divine and the earthly realms. It is represented by two interlocking tetrahedra — one pointing upwards to the heavens, and the other downwards toward the material world. This intersection becomes the bridge between spiritual and physical existence, where your body becomes a vessel of light that connects both realms—a Body of Light.
In Hebrew, “Merkava” also means chariot, representing the body as a vehicle for divine light. The word “Merkaba” has roots from ancient Egypt:
Mer: Light
Ka: Spirit
Ba: Body
The downward-facing tetrahedron symbolizes the spirit connected to the higher consciousness of the “I” or Source. This is the masculine, ethereal energy, linked to the cosmos. The upward-facing tetrahedron symbolizes the material realm, the feminine energy, Mother Earth, representing action, the physical, and matter. Together, these tetrahedra represent the union of Spirit and Physical, mirroring the idea of “as above, so below,” and the true meaning of Co-Creation. The “I” moves into action as the “AM,” completing the embodiment of the I AM.
When the Merkaba is activated, these two tetrahedra spin rapidly, forming a single, dynamic force, much like the wheels of a car in motion. The points of the two tetrahedra no longer act separately but operate as one unified system. This activation symbolizes the transcendence of duality, merging the spiritual and physical worlds into a harmonious whole.
Let’s break it down.
Higher Tetrahedron (Spirit Realm)
From the highest, formless realm of Spirit, the “I Am” consciousness can only flow into an unobstructed earthly unconscious mind, body, and heart—free of ego. This alignment can represent the essence of spiritual awakening or awakening to Spirit, where a clear pathway is created, and you can be guided by the Higher Self:
The Higher Mind—Insight: Receiving direct Insights from your Higher Self through the I’s: Intuition, Inspiration, Ideas, Imagination, creating the Intention.
The Higher Body—True Self: Becoming one’s True Self through the embodiment of one’s Higher Self, free from external influences and ego attachments—a place from center.
The Higher Heart—Unconditional Love: A radical acceptance and recognition of the perfection of everything and everyone that is, as they are, without any desires to change anything or anyone. No judgement. No conditions attached.
Lower Tetrahedron (Physical Realm)
Universal laws are always at play, whether or not we are aware of them and each of these points are connected as one affects the other.
Mind—Thoughts (Law of Mentalism): Insights from the Higher Self then turn into thoughts, which then has the power to shape reality. Thoughts, being energetic, manifest into the material world.
Body—Action (Law of Action): Action is the highest form of prayer. Bringing inspired action from your Higher Self into motion is what will ultimately bring thoughts into reality. It is the act of putting faith into action, of what you believe and know to be true. The result of this is turning the formless into matter, into manifestation.
Heart—Feelings & Emotions (Law of Vibration): The vibrational frequencies emanating from the heart, formed by emotions, come back to you in form of experiences (law of attraction). Higher vibrational emotions like joy, gratitude, and compassion are all feelings that closely stem from Unity.
Awakening the Merkaba and Living in Alignment
Activating the Merkaba requires ongoing self-awareness, inner work, and spiritual practice such as breathing and meditation and the continuous shedding of the illusory and unconscious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This process of spiritual alignment leads to transcendence, symbolized by the phoenix rising from the ashes — reborn and empowered to live in alignment with one’s true purpose.
