My Story of Awakening

The etymology of the word Zenobia means “Life of God”. Born Elly Hong in 1989 in Los Angeles, California, my family immigrated to Montreal, Canada when I was 4. I was brought up catholic but never considered myself belonging to any religion of the world.

I was remembering who I really was: this was my Truest Self and it was there the whole time.

Awakening

At age 20, everything changed. I had a skateboarding accident and broke two bones in my right ankle. I was immediately taken to the emergency room and was operated on. I woke up in my own bed the next morning with a metal plate and five screws in my ankle and a cast up to my knee. Moments after waking up, I had a sudden and profound realization that there was nothing more important than to be. Upon this simple yet most liberating realization, I physically felt an immense weight lifted off me and I was overcome with a sense of such authentic freedom. I was remembering who I really was: this is my Truest Self and it was there the whole time. I had my first awakening and this heavenly glimpse lasted for 5-6 months. Once my glimpse ended, I embarked on my spiritual journey in search of the Truth. No one ever understood what I was trying to explain because I wasn't able to! Any enlightened teacher would admit that words will never make justice. Adyashanti brilliantly phrased this when telling his students, "My aim in teaching is to fail—to fail as well as I possibly can."

It is now time to shift gears into Purpose mode, from the heart and soul and from awakening.

New Earth

At age 25, I received an important message, which came to me as a vision when I was in the subway on my way back home from school. The vision stressed the importance of the crucial timeframe we live in, which was referred to as the "Tipping Point" or the "Shift" in human consciousness. It showed me the timeline of human evolution and how humans have been living in Survival mode (ego) through natural selection. It made me understand that not only does this mode no longer serve us, but it has become severely destructive to our planet and humanity. This would be the reason behind so many heartaches around the globe such as war, depression, greed, and fear. It is now time to shift gears into Purpose mode, from the heart and soul, and from awakening. And if we are able to collectively tip over or shift humanity's and Earth's Consciousness successfully, I was shown what the New Earth would look like, and words cannot describe how beautiful it is. It is our destiny but it is also our duty to make it happen.

Awakener

After a few Dark Nights of the Soul and spiritual maturing, at age 33 (a very important number in spiritual life), my meditations got deeper and everything became crystal clear. The energy of Yeshua was connecting through me throughout the entire year and I finally answered my Soul's Calling and stepped into my Soul's Purpose and Mission. I went through a spiritual rebirth and was given the name Zenobia to take on, which is my baptismal name, named after Saint Zenobia. (This will be a whole separate post by itself later.) Since then, I devoted my life to deepening, sharing and teaching my knowledge of metaphysics and meditation techniques to help people awaken, heal and raise their vibrational frequencies because there is truly nothing more important.
